Toward the end of his notorious life as a radical among religious believers, Aleister Crowley developed a new tarot deck, which was published in 1944 as The Book of Thoth, named after the ancient Egyptian god of wisdom and magic spells. Crowley let all his magical knowledge flow into these cards. Since he was a highly educated, widely-traveled man and an extraordinarily well-versed authority of esoteric traditions, it is no wonder that this tarot deck fascinates us and has remained unsurpassed to this day in its symbolic content and complexity. Doreen Virtue - Doreen Virtue PhD is a prolific New Age author with many books and worshops on angels and angel-oriented theraphy, and sales of angel "oracular cards" (used in some ways similar to Tarot, but with each card representing a particular angel instead of the cards of the Tarot deck). With her Angel cards, each card represents something benificial, and there are no negative cards.

Universal Waite tarot deck - The Universal Waite tarot deck is based on original line drawings for the Rider-Waite-Smith deck by Pamela Colman Smith. It is not known whether the flat, slightly garish colours used in the standard Rider-Waite were Smith's idea or her publisher's -- especially since the Original Rider-Waite Tarot, a facsimile edition of the deck as it first appeared in 1907, shows slightly deeper, richer colours.
